Welcome to Tattenhall Marina. Set in the Bolesworth Estate in rural Cheshire near to historic Chester, this new quality 300 berth marina opened in April 2009.
Incorporating all the latest technology the secure marina is ideally situated for a choice of idyllic cruising routes.
The marina buildings are heated by renewable energy systems including air source heat pumps and solar panels. Wide shallow margins , two nature ponds and an nesting island will provide habitat for a wide variety of aquatic flora and founa. Black and white “Tudor style” buildings typify the tranquil village of Tattenhall. But don’t be misled, the village is equipped to replenish your boats stores and provide for all your personal needs. It has:
- A convenience store
- A post office
- Two pubs, both serving food
- Indian and Thai restaurants
- A pharmacy
- A doctors’ surgery
- Quality Butchers, and opposite the marina is the ice cream farm Marina now open and fully serviced.
You are welcome to visit the marina and choose your mooring.
The attractive main building houses the reception area. Here, friendly, helpful advice will be offered by the experienced staff. Enjoy a free cup of coffee and chat with fellow moorers in the luxurious members’ lounge. Or access the internet on the computer provided or via wi-fi on your own laptop. The wi-fi system will cover the whole marina allowing you to use your laptop in the comfort of your boat. The building also houses clean, high quality showers and toilets. Laundry and ironing facilities are also available.
All boating services are provided at competitive prices e.g. Calor gas, diesel, smokeless coal, pumpout, cassette disposal.
Your boat would be moored on one of eight jetties, ranging in length from 50ft to 70ft. Each berth has its own 16 amp electricity supply and a shared water point. For your safety and security all jetties are well lit with bollard lighting and the whole marina is covered by CCTV cameras.
Ample car parking space is provided and there are pleasant walks around the landscaped perimeter. An abundance of aquatic waterside habitats will be home to a variety of wildlife.

You can also visit Great Haywood Marina and moor at no extra cost. If you Moor with us for a minimum of 12 months and continue to moor you can have the use of the trailer and slipway free of charge in the second and subsequent years. Subject to T&Cs.
